01: Arrival Delhi

You will be met on arrival by our company representative and transferred to the hotel.  You will also be handed over your travel documents. While he will brief you about your trip, he will be happy to reply all your questions/ clarification about the trip.

02 Delhi – Agra by road

Breakfast at the hotel.

Later, check-out from the hotel and leave for Agra by road (205 km /  approx.4-5 hrs drive). En route  visit Sikandra to see the Akbar’s mausoleum- A great Mughal Emperor.  Later continue your drive to Agra. Arrive Agra and check in at the hotel.

You may like to take a little rest at the hotel room. Later proceed for a visit to another interesting monument, , Itmad-ud-daulah. This mausoleum was constructed between 1622 and 1628 by Nūr Jahān, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Mirzā Ghiyās Beg, who had been given the title of I’timād-ud-Daulah (pillar of the state). It resembles the tomb she constructed for her husband, Jahangir, which is now located near Lahore in Pakistan.

We all know that Agra is famous for the Taj Mahal. This city is also well known for its marvelous marble inlay work like the Pietra Dura work on the Taj incorporating precious and semi-precious stones, pietra dura items, leather products, handicrafts and jewellery.  Possibly you will have some free time in the evening and you can make use of this free time to explore and visit marble inlay workshops. They will demonstrate on how they make those marble cuts. Then they will show you their finished products & incredible works of art. You may collect wonders of same inlay work for your interiors if the cost of the same suits your budget.

OPTIONAL: In the evening you may watch “Mohabbat the Taj” a cultural show in Agra.

PS – Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays.  If your visit falls two days before or after the full moon, you may like to visit the Taj Mahal on moon light. You need to decide well in advance if you plan to visit as the number of persons are restricted and the tickets gets booked in advance.

03 : Agra –Sikri- Jaipur by road

Early morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of world. It was built by Shahjahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and was completed in 1653. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Check out from the hotel and proceed for Jaipur by road. Before you leave for Jaipur, you will visit the magnificent Agra Fort located at the right bank of Yamuna River. It was built by Emperor Akbar from 1565 to 1573. His grandson Shahjahan also made some additions to it.

Now, proceed to Jaipur. (approx. 250 km/ approx 05 hrs drive).

Continue driving to Jaipur. EnRoute visit Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, to honor Saint Salim Chisti who forecasted the birth of 3 sons to Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri– planned as the capital of the Mughal Empire, was later abandoned after a time span of 15 years due to the paucity of water. The whole complex is made up of red sand stone in Indian and Persian style which consists of Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public audience), Diwan – i – Khas (Hall of Private audience, Panch mahal- Five storied building & other Palaces still reflects the unique architectural influences with original glory. Later continue for Jaipur.

04 : Jaipur

Breakfast at the hotel.  After breakfast, proceed for visit of some more interesting places.

Drive past the Hawa Mahal also known as ‘Palace of Winds’ It was originally built for the ladies of the royal family to watch everyday life and processions in the city from their veiled comfort.  The vast Amber Fort situated in Amer at a distance of about 11 km from city centre. It was the old capital of Rajasthan before Jaipur.  From the foot hills to the fortress is on elephant back. If you are an animal lover and do not like to ride by elephants, you also have an option of going up by jeeps. The Fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh I, the Rajput commander of Akbar’s army in 1592, is  built with red sandstone and marble overlooks Maota lake. It consists of many pavilions and halls which highlights the wonderful carvings and mirror work – designed in Indian and Mughal architecture.

In the afternoon, you will  enjoy the city tour of Jaipur, City Palace-a landmark of Jaipur consists a rich collection of costumes, textiles armory and weapons. A major part of the palace has been turned into a museum now which is home to unique handcrafted products, Jantar Mantar – a largest astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1728.

Jaipur well known as Pink city (as almost all the buildings of Jaipur are painted pink) treasures with in the pride of jewelery and handicraft making. Its unforgettable experience to watch wonderful creations being made by the artificers. You may collect some unique products for yourself or for your home decor.

05: Jaipur –Udaipur by road

Leave for Udaipur by road  (350 km / approx 8 hrs drive). There are also flights on this sector and you may choose to travel by air.

Udaipur is commonly known as the ‘city of lakes.’ It’s a lovely destination which has a charm of fairy-tale palaces, lakes, temples and gardens.

06: In Udaipur

Get ready to enjoy the exotic and interesting tour of Udaipur. See the amazing and famous City Palace Museum on the east bank of Lake Pichola, It was built by Maharana Udai Singh of Rajput clan in 1559. Its built wonderfully with a blend of Medieval, European and Chinese Architecture. It incorporates 11 wonderful palaces with awesome wall paintings, murals, marbles, granites, marbles, exquisite glass mirror, ivory doors, colored glass windows , inlaid marble balconies & ornamental tiles work. These palaces were built at different times since 1559.

Enjoy Boat ride at lake Pichola . While riding you will have the excellent view of the city. Make a visit to Jag Mandir Palace – located on the island on lake Pichola. It hosts theme dinners, parties, wedding ceremonies. Spend here some time.

Also Visit the Jagdish temple– largest temple of Udaipur inside City Palace Complex, Sahelion Ki Bari or Garden of maids” on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake was made for royal ladies to stroll and relax in the enchanting greenery & fountains, Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk art museum showcases the folk heritage of India).

07: Udaipur- Delhi (By morning flight)

You will be transferred to the airport in time to connect flight for Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi, you will be transferred to your hotel.

In the afternoon, enjoy the sight seeing of Old Delhi, known as Shajahanabad at the time of Shah Jahan who made it a new capital of Mughals having shifted from Agra in 1639. It has ancient monuments, narrow and congested streets and bustling bazaars. Drive past the vast Red Fort built in 1648 by Shah Jahan which served as the residence to Mughal Emperors, The Jama Masjid– the largest mosque in India was also built by Shah Jahan from 1644- 1658, and the Raj Ghat- A memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

08: Delhi- Departure

Check out from the hotel. With the luggage loaded in the vehicle, you will tart your visit of New Delhi which includes Qutab Minar (Tower of victory)– built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak the first Muslim ruler of Delhi who defeated Hindu Rajput King Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192 AD, Humayun’s Tomb– built by Banu Begam in 1569 after 9 years of the death of Humayun.  Also drive past the India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan-The President’s residence, The Parliament House-the Government Headquarters & other Government buildings.

After the tour, you will be dropped at the airport to connect your flight for onwards destination.
