01: Arrive Kathmandu

Arrive Kathmandu by international flight. Our representative will meet and greet and transfer to hotel. Upon arrival at hotel, he will handover the travel documents and discuss about your tour program.

In the evening, enjoy optional traditional Nepalese Dance with Dinner at Nepali Chulo / Bancha Ghar.

02: Kathmandu-Chitwan by road (170 km / 5 hrs.)

Early morning, enjoy optional Mountain Flight for an hour by fixed wing aircraft, the flight shall give you an Ariel view of Mt. Everest and other Himalayan Peaks. After breakfast, drive to Chitwan, about 5 hrs. drive. Upon arrival at the Lodge welcome & briefing by the naturalist. After Lunch, either canoe or elephant ride.

03: Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, full day jungle activities including Jungle walk, elephant ride, canoe ride, Elephant briefing Or Elephant batthing , Village visit Or Tharu Dance etc. Chitwan National Park is the most famous national park in Nepal. Which offers 450 species of birds including four species of deer, leopard, sloth bear, wild boar & many other wildlife. This park is well known for one horned Rhinoceros & it is a shelter for few Royal Bengal Tigers. Besides this, Chitwan also supports a great variety of flora & fauna. (Exact program in Chitwan can only be confirmed upon guest’s arrival at the resort as itinerary shall depend upon the occupancy in the resort and guest’s arrival / departure time)

04: Chitwan – Pokhara: (170 km / 5 – 6 hrs.)

Early in the morning, after/tea coffee; set for the Jungle walk & bird watching. After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu. The drive from Chitwan to Pokhara takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival at Pokhara transfer to the hotel and your rest of the day is free.

If Kathmandu is the cultural hub of Nepal, Pokhara is its center of adventure. An enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley, it is the starting point for many of Nepal’s most popular trekking and rafting destinations. The atmosphere on the shore of Phewa Lake is one of excited vitality as hipster backpackers crowd the many bars and restaurants exchanging recommendations on guest houses and view points, both by the lake and above the clouds.

Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6,977 m) rising behind it create an ambience of peace and magic. At an elevation lower than Kathmandu, it has a much more tropical feel to it, a fact well appreciated by the beautiful diversity of flowers which prosper in its environs. Indeed, the valley surrounding Pokhara is home to thick forests, gushing rivers, emerald lakes, and of course, the world famous views of the Himalaya.

The powerful rule of the old kings of Kathmandu, the Lichhavis and the Mallas, held sway over this valley for some time. As these dynasties fell prey to their own troubles, Pokhara Valley and the surrounding hills disintegrated into small kingdoms, frequently at war with each other. These were called the Chaubise Rajya or the Twenty-four Kingdoms. It was among these that Kulmandan Shah established his kingdom. His descendant Drabya Shah was the first to establish Gorkha, home of the legendary Gurkha warriors.

Finally, Pokhara is part of a once vibrant trade route extending between India and Tibet. To this day, mule trains can be seen camped on the outskirts of the town, bringing goods to trade from remote regions of the Himalaya. This is the land of the Magars and Gurungs, hardworking farmers and valorous warriors who have earned world-wide fame as Gurkha soldiers. The Thakalis, another important ethnic group here, are known for their entrepreneurship.

05: In Pokhara

Early morning, excursion to Sarangkot to have a bird’s eye view of Pokhara City and witness sunrise over the Annapurna range. Sarangkot (1592 m):A former Kaski fort lying atop a hill to the west of Pokhara. The panoramic view of the Himalaya seen from this point is superb.

Mountain Views: Clearly the most stunning of Pokhara’s sights is the spectacular panorama of the Annapurna range which forms its backdrop. Stretching from east to west, the Annapurna massif includes Annapurna 1 to IV and Annapurna South. Although the highest among them is Annapurna 1 (8,091 m), it is Machhapuchhre which dominates all others in this neighborhood. Boastfully levitating in the skyline, the fish-tailed pinnacle is the archetypal snow-capped, needle-pointed mountain.

In the afternoon, proceed for half day sightseeing Covering: Phewa Lake ,Seti Gandaki,Barahi Temple,The Old Bazaar.

06: Pokhara / Kathmandu (200 km / 6 hrs.)

After breakfast drive to Kathmandu. In the afternoon visit: Bhaktapur City: Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming architectural showpieces of the Valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The golden effigies of kings perched on the top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in every place-struts, lintels, uprights, tympanums, gateways and windows-all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony. The main items of interest in the Durbar Square are: The Lion Gate, The Golden Gate, The Palace of Fifty-five Windows, The Art Gallery and The Statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.

07: Kathmandu – Delhi – Varanasi  by Flight

Breakfast at hotel. In time transfer to board your onward flight en route visit: Boudhanath: Boudhanath is among the largest stupas in South Asia, and it has become the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal.

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is the holiest Hindu pilgrimage destination in Nepal. There are linga images of Shiva along with statues, shrines, and temples dedicated to other deities in the complex.

Upon arrival Varanasi airport meet with our representative and transfer to your hotel. Evening go to the Ghat for watch the grand Aarti (worship) dedicated to Hindu Gods at river Ganges. Return to the hotel.

08: Varanasi – Agra (by overnight train)

Early morning get ready to explore various sights by boat ride on river Ganges. See the memorable Sunrise from the river, many bathing Ghats (river bank) , wide landscapes & cremation site too while you ride for an hour long.Return to the hotel. Enjoy breakfast at the Hotel’s restaurant.Pack your luggage and check out from the hotel.

Explore the city tour of Varanasi – Visit the famous Bharat Mata temple which is very unique as it is not dedicated to any God or Goddess, instead it has a marble statue of mother India and a big map depicting mountains, rivers, plains and oceans perfectly scaled. was This temple was gifted by the nationalists Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta and Shri Durga Prasad Khatri & was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936.

Also visit Durga temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, the mosque of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and Banaras Hindu University which houses New Vishvanath temple, an art gallery known as ‘The Bharat Kala Bhavan’ with rare collections.

later on excursion to Sarnath- A sacred Buddhist city which is 12 kms. from Varanasi. Sarnath is a place where the Buddha preached his first sermon to his five disciples after he had attained enlightenment. Visit the ruins, the Dhanak stupa, Chaukhandi stupa built by Emperror Ashoka, the Buddhist temple by Indian Mahabodhi society and other temples from Buddism school from other countries like Japan, China, Thailand, Burma and others & the Sarnath museum (closed on Fridays). The Ashoka pillar at the museum of Sarnath is the National emblem of India. It has four lions back to back at the top.

You will be transferred to the railway station on time to board your overnight train to Agra. Overnight on board train.

09 : Arrive Agra at 0610 Hrs

Early morning arrive Agra Railway Station, you will be transferred to your hotel. [Early check-in will subject to availability]

Later, make a visit to magnificent Agra Fort located at the right bank of Yamuna River. It was built by Emperor Akbar from 1565 to 1573. His grandson Shahjahan also made some additions to it. See another monument known as Itmad-ud-daulah. This mausoleum was constructed between 1622 and 1628 by Nūr Jahān, the wife of Jahangir, for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who had been given the title of Itimad-ud-Daulah (pillar of the state). It resembles the tomb she constructed for her husband, Jahangir, near Lahore in Pakistan.

Agra is also well known for its marvelous marble inlay work like the Pietra Dura work on the Taj incorporating precious and semi-precious stones, pietra dura items, leather products, handicrafts and jewellery. In the evening, you will have time to visit Marble Inlay Workshops. They will demonstrate on how they make those marble cuts. Then they will show you their finished products & incredible works of art. You may collect wonders of same inlay work for your interiors.

OPTIONAL: In the evening you may watch “Mohabbat the Taj” a cultural show.

10 : Agra –Fatehpur Sikri- Jaipur by road

Early morning enjoy sunrise with fabulous and world famous Taj Mahal which is one of the seven wonders of world. It was built by Shahjahan for his beloved wife. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and was completed in 1653.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later proceed for Jaipur .(approx. 250 Kms/ 05 Hrs drive). En route make a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, to honour Saint Salim Chisti who forecasted the birth of 3 sons to Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri- planned as the capital of the Mughal Empire, was later abandoned after a time span of 15 years due to the paucity of water.

The whole complex is made up of red sand stone in Indian and Persian style which consists of Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public audience), Diwan – i – Khas (Hall of Private audience, Panch mahal- Five storied building & other Palaces still reflects the unique architectural influences with original glory.Later continue for Jaipur. Arrive and check in at the hotel.

11: In Jaipur

After breakfast, get ready to visit the vast Amber Fort situated in Amer at a distance of about11 kms from Jaipur. It was the old capital of Rajasthan before Jaipur. It is set high on a hill and you can go there by enjoying Royal Elephant ride from the foothills of the Aravallis to the fort entrance. Fort built with red sandstone and marble overlooks Maota lake. Fort was constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592, the Rajput commander of Akbar’s army. It consists of many pavilions and halls which highlights the wonderful carvings and mirror work – designed in Indian and Mughal architecture.

Afternoon, enjoy the city tour of Jaipur by covering the miniature of City Palace-a landmark of Jaipur consists a rich collection of costumes, textiles armory and weapons. A major part of the palace has been turned into a museum now which is home to unique handcrafted products, Jantar Mantar – a largest astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1728.

Drive past the Hawa Mahal also known as ‘Palace of Winds’ It was originally built for the ladies of the royal family to watch everyday life and processions in the city from their veiled comfort.

12: Jaipur –Delhi by road

Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Delhi (265 km / approx.5 hrs drive).  Upon arrival at Delhi, check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free for independent activities.

13: In Delhi

After breakfast, be ready for your remarkable city tour of Old & New Delhi i.e. the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India was built by Shah Jahan(who also built the world famous Taj Mahal ) from 1644- 1658 , Raj Ghat, A memorial to Mahatma Gandhi,Qutab Minar (Tower of victory)- built in 1193 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak the first Muslim ruler of Delhi who defeated Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan in 1192 AD, Humayun’s Tomb- built by Banu Begam in 1569 after 9 years of the death of Humayun, Lotus temple- Its a Bahai’s temple in the shape of lotus flower allows everyone to meditate in the peaceful environment. Also drive past the India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan-The President’s residence, The Parliament House-the Government Headquarters & other Government buildings.

14: Depart Delhi

After breakfast, you will be dropped at the airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
